Two changes for you to note in our programme.

Joy is cancelling her walk at Highlight on the 8th June and moving it to Thursday 13 July. It is not much fun having to wade through long wet grass, so hopefully she will see you then!

Secondly Joy is doing a straight forward walk swop from those shown in the printed programme. The walk in the Wye Valley on 16 July will now be moved to 25 June and vice versa, so Woolaston will now fill the 16 July spot. All other details as to meeting time and place remain the same.

Fridays 2nd June Walk’n’Clear has been postponed to Friday 9th June all other details remain the same as per programme.

Please note that Joy will lead a 4-mile easy/moderate walk in the Wenvoe/St Lythans area that evening which will leave Wenvoe Church at 7pm, if anyone is interested.

If you need further details contact Joy (01446 737131)

“The Dambusters” walk scheduled to take place on Thursday 25 May has been cancelled and will now take place at a later date.

Joy is moving her walk at Gower on 27 May and inserting another walk on that day, so please amend your programmes with the following: –

On Monday May 1, meet 8am at Cogan for a 12-mile moderate walk taking in the garlic woods on south Gower.

On Saturday 27 May, meet 9am at Cogan for a 10.5-mile moderate walk taking in Lydbrook and the River Wy

It has been decided to change the meeting point for walks starting from the Barry Waterfront due to building works taking place next to the car park spaces. The new location to meet is therefore to be Barry Dock Railway Station car park which is located in the Dock Offices of the Vale of glamorgan Council off Ffordd Y Mileniwm. For those with sat nav – Post Code (CF63 4RT) or Grid Ref (ST122676).

Saturdays 11 March walk will now be led by Barrie and will leave Cogan at 8.15am to catch the bus from Storey Arms to Brecon. Then an 8 mile walk back to Storey Arms.

Wednesday 15 March William’s Classic Black Mountains walk has been cancelled due to the leader having an operation. Will be rearranged for a later date.

Saturday 25 March – Sylivia’s walk in Pilning has aslo been cancelled. Will be rearranged for a later date.

Due to the weather forecast for Saturday this walk has been cancelled.

Cancelled 15 February walk

Unfortunately William has had to cancel his walk on the 15 February.

Please note the following regarding the Lydbrook walk. Joy has changed the route, so it will now be 10.5-mile mod/hard with two public conveniences and three stops.

However, because of the weather forecast for this week which is mostly for rain and the prospect of it worsening on the weekend, I am swopping my Lydbrook walk with the one at Goodrich on 5th March, because there are 3 paths on the Lydbrook walk that will be like a slalom after prolonged rain!
